Regular exercise during pregnancy benefits you and your baby. It reduces back pain. It may decrease your risk of gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and cesarean delivery. It promotes healthy weight gain during pregnancy, improves your overall general fitness and strengthens your heart and blood vessels. With the hormonal changes, moving your body has proven effects of releasing the happy chemicals, endorphins which can help your mood.

This pre and post-natal routine is especially created for those who are currently pregnant.

As a rule of thumb, you shouldn’t try any new exercises while you’re pregnant. Stick to your low-impact workout routine. Take out rectus abdominus focused exercises. Work on your arms, legs, pelvic floor muscles, obliques for the waistline. You don’t need to compromise your hour glass figure because of the cute baby bump!

With the relaxin pregnancy hormone that softens ligaments and tissue throughout the entire body, be sure not to go into deep stretches to prevent injuries. Please consult your obstetrician-gynecologist if you are unsure about certain exercises here.
